There are many organisations around the world which are working to promote awareness of celiac disease and gluten free food for last many years. A lot can be learnt from their experiences and programs which we would like to bring to you and to our industry through this section.

To begin with, we have partnered with one of the world’s leading gluten free certification organizations, Gluten Intolerance Group, USA.

Gluten Intolerance Group (GIG) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to support persons with celiac disease, dermatitis herpetiformis, and other gluten-related disorders, through consumer and industry services and programs that positively promote healthy lives.   GIG currently has nearly 100 Branches throughout the United States which provide support and education to consumers at the local level.

Their Gluten-Free Certification Program, GFCO, is the world’s leading independent gluten-free certification program. Till date, over 13,000 food products have been certified by them.  GIG also offers a leading restaurant accreditation program: the Gluten-Free Food Service Program (GFFS). 2014 marks GIG’s 40th year of providing services to the gluten-free community. Our partnership with them will help in increasing the level of knowledge about many aspects of gluten free diet, amongst our celiac community and our food industry. Apart from having access to their experts and their resources, we will bring you a monthly Question Answer session with their experts, on various topics related to gluten free food.
